The Trusted I/O SmartSlot Cable provides reliable signal, power, and grounding connections between output modules and Field Termination Assemblies (FTAs) in industrial control systems.
2. Which output modules are supported?
The cable is designed for use with digital 24 Vdc, 120 Vdc, and analogue output modules.
3. What is the function of the three multi-core cables?
Multi-core 1: Transfers output signals between the module and FTA.
Multi-core 2: Provides the field power return connection.
Multi-core 3: Supplies field power from a T8290 or T8297 power distribution unit.
4. Why is the 0 V reference connection required?
The 0 V reference allows the output module to accurately measure output voltage and must be connected to the field 0 V supply.
