The 990 Vibration Transmitter (model 990-05-XX-01-00) is a two-wire, loop-powered device that converts vibration signals from a 3300 NSv proximity probe into a standard 4-20 mA output. With a 0-5 mils pp range, it is ideal for OEMs integrating simple vibration monitoring into control systems for compressors, pumps, and fans.

Full-Scale Range Option (A): 05 (0–5 mils peak-to-peak / 0–125 µm peak-to-peak)
System Length Option (B): XX (Needs specification; selectable as 50 for 5.0 meters or 70 for 7.0 meters system length)
Mounting Option (C): 01 (35 mm DIN rail clips)
Agency Approval Option (D): 00 (Not required)
Power Supply: +12 to +35 Vdc input at transmitter terminals.
Output Signal: 4 to 20 mA dc in a two-wire configuration.
Loop Accuracy: Within ±1.5% over the specified full-scale range (0-5 mils pp). Accuracy measured from TEST signal input to voltage across a 250 Ω loop resistance.
Maximum Loop Resistance: 1000 Ω (including cable) at 35 Vdc supply.
Probe Gap Requirement: Must be set between 0.5 and 1.75 mm (20 to 55 mils) from the target to ensure accurate full-scale range.
Current Limiting: Approximately 23 mA typical.
Power-up Inhibit: Output remains below 3.6 mA (NOT OK state) for 2-3 seconds after power is applied.
Proximitor Output Incremental Scale Factor: 7.87 mV/µm (200 mV/mil) ±6.5% typical (±10% worst case), measured over the linear range.
Frequency Response: 5 Hz to 6,000 Hz, +0, -3 dB.
Minimum Target Size: 9.5 mm (0.375 inches) in diameter.
Leadwire Length for PROX OUT: Maximum 3 meters (10 feet) from BNC connector.
Transmitter Operating Temperature: -35°C to +85°C (-31°F to +185°F)
Transmitter Storage Temperature: -52°C to +100°C (-62°F to +212°F)
Probe Operating Temperature: -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +351°F)
