This is a 24701 Proximity Probe Housing Assembly manufactured by Bently Nevada (Baker Hughes). It is an all-metal housing constructed from 303 stainless steel body with a 304 stainless steel sleeve. It includes a pre-installed 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe (with connector protector) and a 0.5-meter cable.

Important Cautions - 24701-34-05-20-018-03-02

Explosion-Proof Status: CRITICAL. According to Page 8 of the datasheet: *"Although explosion-proof fittings are available... only CA versions of the housing are rated as explosion-proof by CSA when ordered with the E:00, E:01, E:02, or E:04 options."*
This model uses EE = 03 (Cable Seal Grip).
Result: This specific assembly is NOT explosion-proof because the cable gland breaks the flame path seal required for Class I, Div 1 areas. It is suitable for general purpose or Intrinsically Safe (I.S.) wiring methods only.
Probe Side View Effects: The effective probe penetration is 1.8 inches.
Sleeve Support: Total length is 3.8 inches (< 12 inches). No additional sleeve support required.
